"A Storybook Christmas" turns the page on another successful Festival of Trees

The 59th Annual Festival of Trees was held the week of November 17-20 at the Elks Lodge in Idaho Falls.  The event opened with Santa's "special" arrival, and welcomed thousands of guests, over the week, who enjoyed live entertainment from local performers, dined at the Cafe and Bakery, shopped at the newly expanded Boutique, captured photos with Santa and strolled through the magical display of beautifully decorated trees, mantles and door wreaths.

This beloved tradition is only made possible by hundreds of dedicated volunteers, and this year was no exception. We extend our sincere gratitude to the Festival Board and committee leaders, especially Board President Cheryl Arrington-Kincaid.  Special thanks also to DWI Foundation Director Tim Sopalski, (aka, Disco Santa, Santa Elvis and a few other surprises) whose efforts brought in numerous new sponsors and media partners.

Festival of Trees is the largest fundraiser that benefits DWI, enabling us to continue our mission of supporting individuals with disabilities throughout Eastern Idaho in achieving greater independence.

We look forward to celebrating a milestone next year-the 60th Annual Festival of Trees.  Wishing everyone a Merry Christmas and a Joyous New Year.
