Our Apron Project is tied to Success

Our Apron Project, in partnership with Source America for the U.S. Military, provides individuals of all ability levels to take part in the production process.

Participants contribute in a variety of ways-some operate sewing machines and learn sewing skills; while others trim loose threads or attach labels to the aprons. Further along the process, individuals fold the aprons to specific size requirement, then bag and label the package to complete the final product.

Because we follow strict Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) specifications, quality is critical at every step. Both staff and participants are trained to carefully inspect the product and identify any defects or irregularities throughout the process.

Contracts such as these are valuable to our Extended Work Services program. The multiple step workflow provides vocational training opportunities, allowing individuals to develop new skills while earning a paycheck and achieving greater independence in their lives.

If you have project or know of someone who could benefit from outsourcing work, we would love to connect with you.
