The 47th Annual Festival of Trees kicked off with a Ribbon Cutting by the Greater Idaho Falls Chamber of Commerce this morning. Chamber Ambassador Chair Katie Long welcomed the guests and presented Festival of Tree Board Chair Kathie Hendrix with a plaque commemorating the occasion. The Festival runs through Friday November 19th, and is open from 10AM-9PM Daily. Along with the ornately decorated Trees, Doors displays and Fireplace mantles, there will be entertainment from local groups, a craft boutique and Grandma's Kitchen and Cafe. Items can be bid on in a silent auction or can be bought out right. Festival of Trees is a fundraiser that benefits individuals with disabilities in the greater Idaho Falls area through Development Workshop Inc. There is a nominal entrance fee.
