On Thursday, our 50th Anniversary Festivities kicked off with a Celebration for our Clients. Around 200 attendees, including clients, caregivers, families and staff from all three locations (Idaho Falls, Rexburg and Salmon) got together at the Elks Lodge in Idaho Falls for the afternoon. Lunch was catered by Dixie's Diner and Deejay services were provided by Audra Bronson. We appreciated that City of Ammon Mayor, Sean Coletti also joined us. ( I guess it helps that his mom is a Job Coach with us!)
Attendees were encouraged to dress for a decade that DWI has been in business and certain decades were well represented.
Clients were recognized for their time with DWI, some as many as 30 years! After a hearty meal and a presentation from DWI President and CEO McKayla Matlack, clients cut up the dance floor for the rest of the afternoon.
The afternoon was a great success and under the direction of Wes Dance, Director of Adult LIFE, and DWI Staff, everyone had an enjoyable time.
Next week festivities will continue with our Community Stakeholder Celebration and look forward to seeing what the next 50 years will hold for DWI.
